This is a branch of the restaurant by the same name in San Francisco: RN74.
Markets itself as a French restaurant and while overtly true it’s more nouveau French. The space is very nice and the bar very inviting so it should be a great place for Happy Hour.
We recently dined at a later hour and had an excellent meal. Would have liked to have had more on the menu but our appetite would not support the added effort.
Started with the bib lettuce salad which included a nice vinaigrette then moved to the main course of a deconstructed bouillabaisse with local seafood including mussels, halibut and clams in a light tomato based sauce. The other entree was an exceptional beef offering which was perfectly cooked and unbelievably flavorful for a filet. A nice left bank bordeaux was also had.
I finished, unaided, with a chocolate espresso mille-feuille which was outstanding….as all things chocolate combined with coffee! Paired nicely with a not too sweet sauternes.
The wine list is extensive….53 pages and the service outstanding.
