A Puget Sound institution: Taylor Shellfish Farms.

The space is small and is the definition of an oyster bar. The fresh tanks are centrally placed with the dining area arrayed around it.

Obviously the thing to have here are the raw oysters and several types are available. In addition, the oyster soup is a good choice especially on a cold day. Also keep an eye out for their steamed mussels which are delicious as well. For those not into bivalves they do have fresh Dungeness crab as well as prawns. You must try the crab…the sauce that arrives in the shell is to die for and another reason to get a baguette.

Another must try: Moqueca, a Brazilian Shellfish Stew. This stuff is the best shellfish stew I’ve ever had!

If you don’t like seafood but happen to stumble through the door there is usually a non seafood choice such as a Caesars salad on the menu.

Service was friendly.
