Asian fusion: Wild Ginger.

Recently had the opportunity to visit the Bellevue location of this Seattle based restaurant long known for its Asian Fusion menu and highly rated wine cellar. Dinner was for meeting so the menu was fixed but having eaten at the downtown location a number of times it’s easy to state that the food here is very good and similar to the offerings of the downtown location. The Bellevue space is a very large and interesting.

Started with the Buddha rolls which are a classic vegetable roll in rice paper and the chicken potstickers. Followed with the peasant’s chicken satay and Sichuan green beans and seven flavor beef finishing with two classics: black pepper scallops and fragrant duck….think Peking duck.

Believe it or not, had to have at least a taste of the chocolate torte and a mango cheesecake.

They are know for their wine list. Wide choices for the old world and new world…mostly PNW.

Recently revisited and was a bit confused when I entered…didn’t seem to be the same place that I had remembered…and it wasn’t. The restaurant moved from the Bravern to Lincoln Square South about 18 months ago. The space is less than 1/2 the original but the food hasn’t changed.
