Continuing our tour of northwest Washington: Breadfarm.

Nice little artisan bakery in the heart of a nice, interesting little village in the Skagit Valley. While we didn’t have their bread, we did extensively taste their shortbread cookies which come in almost a dozen flavors. Our choices included classic vanilla, cocoa nib and hazelnut espresso. My favorite, the hazelnut espresso with cocoa nibs being a close second. They also have organic granola and a selection of house-made preserves.

It’s a popular place and their breads sell out so if you have your heart set on something specific either call ahead or get there early.
