Unexpected: Cob + Cork.

You never know what to expect but this place looked interesting from the road so we decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint. I continue to be amazed by the quality of food you find in the most unlikely places. This place was no exception.

We first visited during brunch hours so choices ranged widely from the farmer’s breakfast to French toast to burgers to a porchetta roll to a ham benny. The menu changes but the PNW steamer bowl and the crab mac + cheese are excellent as was the pulled pork + pico skillet. The “skillet” made the dish. The Sicilian prawn bowl is also an excellent choice if available. Need dessert? The got to have is the caramel chocolate cake. It’s made by the vanilla gelato…did I mention the beautiful richness of the cake?… and if not already outstanding, it was crowned by salt flakes in the caramel sauce…outstanding!

Small but interesting wine and cocktail list with French wines by the glass.

Their hours vary so check the website before your visit.

Stop by and give them a try on your next trip to the area. You won’t regret it.

Good service.
