Northern Italian: Buona Tavola.

A choice not in the13th Street restaurant core but worth worth a few blocks walk. The space is relatively small and intimate with a small area for alfresco dining. It’s very popular so a reservation is recommended.

Started with the soup special….a tomato soup which was light and followed that with the pappardella alla San Pietro. The dish was shrimp based but included Italian prosciutto in a light but creamy tomato sauce. The prosciutto added a unique richness and the dish was outstanding.

No room for dessert but expect typical Italian offerings including Vin Santo.
