Japantown Korean: Daeho Kalbijjim & Beef Soup.

One of several locations, primarily in the Bay Area but, note a location near Seattle just across the lake in Bellevue.

Story is that the family entered the restaurant business in 1957 in Incheon, South Korea. The family immigrated to the US in 1990 and opened this location in 2019. So, they’ve been at this for decades which speaks to their persistence and expertise.

Very interesting menu and not what I’ve experienced with respect to Korean food in the past. It’s based, as the restaurant name implies, on beef and short rib dishes. So, come with an open palate and explore what they have to offer. While we didn’t try the braised Kalbijjim,  it will be on our list next visit.

And, you must give the Soju a try.

Helpful staff.
