Vietnamese in Lake City: Green Papaya.
Only have takeaway so we used Grubhub this time since it’s fairly close to our home plus it gets great ratings.
It didn’t disappoint. Went with a classic: the vermicelli bowl or bún…a combo for me…which is what I usually eat to compare between different Vietnamese restaurants. Due to being takeaway, it didn’t arrive in a bowl. Aside from that, it was first class and the sauce (nước chấm), perfect.
Of course we needed a starter…why not shrimp spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce. Perfect example.
Downed it all with a glass of 2020 Dean Wines Teneriffe rosé.
