Quarantine: New Years Eve.

Started the afternoon with frozen cranberry margaritas followed by Seared Asian steak salad and mushrooms with ginger dressing and a pavlova to finish. The salad was made by the rare beef and the beautiful ginger dressing. Excellent dish.

Our wine: Chris Gorman’s 2018 Old Scratch Cab. Lots of tannins so let it breathe for 30 to 40 minutes. Nice notes of dark fruits but needs a bit more time in the bottle.

What did we do at midnight? A nice sparkling wine from the Loire followed by virtual fireworks at the Space Needle. Very interesting show this year.
