Northern Exposure Fame: The Brick.

Decided to stop in after a hike in the area. The history of this area of Washington is interesting and this place was originally a coal mining town which is no longer being mined even though there is apparently plenty left in the ground! This establishment is also interesting in that it is the oldest continuously operating bar in the State of Washington having been in business since 1889. The bar itself is over 100 years old and was originally from England.

Those of you old enough to remember the TV series Northern Exposure will also recognize this bar from that show…..but also realize that while the town of Cecily was supposed to be in Alaska….it was filmed here and Roslyn is “Cecily”.

Expect typical bar food and large portions. They have the Impossible Burger which you should try even if you aren’t a vegetarian.

The food is good as is service.
