Creole Food Truck: Where Ya At Matt.
Couldn’t pass up the opportunity to give him a try…especially after learning he hails from New Orleans and had worked with a chef and friend 0f mine in Birmingham. Small world.
The menu ranges from shrimp and oyster Po’ Boys to shrimp and grits with a host of choices in between. Had to decide on what to have so we had a smorgasbord which included the gumbo followed by the fried oyster Po’ Boy and shrimp and grits. Sides included the coleslaw and of course I had to try the cornbread…slightly sweet. For dessert…beignets and pecan pie.
My favorites…the fried oyster Po’ Boy which arrived on a perfectly prepared French roll…the beignets and the pecan pie. The Po’ Boy was perfection and will be a go to on subsequent visits.
Check his website or Instagram to see “Where He’s At”. Looking to celebrate Mardi Gras and have some King Cake? Check the schedule…remember he’s from New Orleans!
In my opinion his next step should be a brick and mortar restaurant. Seattle could use a restaurant with food like this.
Friendly service.
