Asian fusion: Wild Ginger.

We were downtown for an event and stopped in to once again experience this well known and respected spot for Asian food. Not only known for its food…..it is a perpetually on the Wine Spectator list for its extensive wine cellar and selections……makes up a small phone book like list.

We weren’t that hungry so started with the chicken potstickers and thai pomelo miang…..shrimp and  grapefruit with just a hint of chillies. Very fresh and light. Followed this with one of their classics, the black pepper scallops…always perfectly seared and excellent. Finished with a glass of sauternes and of course…the chocolate torte.

Excellent service.

By the way, if you are in the mood for a bit of burlesque after dinner, the Triple Door is just below the restaurant and the food offered is catered by the restaurant.
