Mochi doughnuts: Dochi.

When it opened about a year and a half ago, the line was out the door so I waited for things to settle down a bit. The day I visited there was still a line but it moved quickly.

Very interesting doughnut and not what you are used to but well worth a try and it seemed…oddly, that they were even tastier the next day! Let’s put it this way, we had no problem emptying the box…the flavors and unique texture really grows on you. The primary ingredient is rice flower and the ube have purple yams as well.

Located in the food court at Uwajimaya in the International District so it’s easy to find.

Give them a try…I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised.
