Malasadas in a food truck: Goodbelly.

Primary location is the Beverly Food Truck Park in south Everett. What’s a malasada you ask? It was originally a Portuguese confection that was brought to Hawaii when Portuguese workers emigrated to work in the sugar plantations.  Think of it as a deep fried doughnut with various sweet fillings inside the fried dough.  They are quite popular in Hawaii.

The story of how this came to be in Everett is an interesting one involving Cambodia, Nevada, Texas, Washington State and a first trip to Hawaii.

The truck serves several choices and all are made to order which makes them about as fresh as you can get so give them a try. The weekly location schedule is posted to Instagram. They are very popular so arrive early or they may be sold out!
