In the hood: Pleasant Beach Donuts.
Seem to be sold out when we usually think of visiting but this day we arrived in the late afternoon and there was still a selection to choose from. Their donuts are made from sourdough and come with various toppings and we tried several, including pumpkin and cinnamon. Initially, the dough was a bit tough…likely due to our late arrival. They substantially improved their consistency and flavor with a bit of warm up time in the microwave. That said, a more plain donut would be exactly that, plain so go for one with a glaze topping.
