Dinner for thirty: Seastar
Another group dinner at this well known and highly regarded seafood restaurant in the metro area.
Fixed menu this night with the typical choices…salmon, a chicken dish and beef with a veg option for those so inclined. Went with the cedar plank roasted salmon. If offered, give the Hot n Sour Soup a go but be prepared for a spicier version than the typical.
Several different dessert options are on the regular menu and if offered, the blood orange panna cotta was sweet and tart at the same time. I have to admit I am partial to blood oranges and this dish did not disappoint. Everything was washed down with a nice South African Cab.
The space is open, large, modern and quite nice.
One caveat…dinners for 30 may not reflect the true nature of a restaurant or a more singular experience.
